TTE RS C7 RACE 4647 VAG 4.0TFSI UPGRADE TURBOCHARGERS

The TTE C7 RACE turbochargers are high-performance OEM-based upgrades designed specifically for the 4.0 TFSI platform. They deliver factory-like response and power characteristics while enhancing durability through TTE’s upgraded bearing system, motorsport-grade tolerances, and precision-balanced cores. These turbochargers are suitable for Stage 1, Stage 1+, and Stage 2 tuned vehicles, offering reliable performance under increased boost levels.

Direct Replacement Design

These units are engineered as direct bolt-on replacements for worn or damaged factory RS6/RS7 turbochargers, requiring no special calibration when installed on RS6 or RS7 models. Vehicles such as the S6, S7, and S8 will require software calibrated for RS6/RS7 turbochargers (APR Stage 3 software is a recommended option).

Engineering & Construction

Each pair of TTE C7 RACE turbochargers is built using genuine IHI factory RS6/RS7 C7 turbocharger cores. The original bearing assembly is replaced with TTE’s proven upgraded bearing pack to ensure long-term reliability and stability under higher boost pressures commonly used with Stage 1, 2, 2+, or 3 ECU calibrations from leading tuning providers.

Precision Balancing – The TTE Standard

Precise balancing is critical to turbocharger longevity, efficiency, and acoustic refinement. Every TTE unit undergoes a rigorous multi-stage balancing process:

  • Individual components are balanced at low speeds up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes using specialized equipment.

  • After assembly, the CHRA is dynamically balanced at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM using TTE’s in-house VSR machine.

  • This process achieves equilibrium standards significantly exceeding OEM specifications.

Each turbocharger set is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report certifying its performance and quality.
