The TTE777 is an upgraded performance turbocharger based on the original RS3 8V.2 / TTRS 8S DAZA and DNWA units. At TheTurboEngineers, we meticulously rework these turbos to deliver a class-leading hybrid performance solution for the older-generation CEPA, CEPB, and CZGB engines.
Key Performance Upgrades
Compressor Wheel: The original wheel is replaced with a precision-milled TTE aluminum wheel featuring advanced 7+7 blade geometry, providing significantly higher airflow and power output than even the TTE700 wheel.
Exhaust Turbine: The stock turbine is upgraded to a lightweight 9-blade TTE-designed turbine, engineered for lower exhaust backpressure to maximize performance.
Bearing System: A TTE motorsport-grade bearing system is installed for enhanced durability under high-performance conditions.
Boost response is carefully optimized to ensure immediate and consistent power delivery, making the TTE777 a highly responsive upgrade.
Exhaust Manifold Optimization
With the TTE777 Stage upgrade, the exhaust manifold is CNC-ported to perfectly align with the OEM gasket at the head flange. Each runner is smoothed to increase gas velocity, efficiently feeding the larger 9-blade turbine and enabling the upgraded compressor to perform at its full potential. Additional turbine-side modifications further enhance gas flow for maximum performance gains.
OEM Integration & Thermal Management
When ordering a new unit, we use the latest generation of BorgWarner turbochargers as a base. Each comes with Audi-spec thermal heat isolation shielding on the exhaust manifold and turbine housing to reduce engine bay temperatures, improve safety, and maintain peak performance.
Precision Balance & Reliability
Longevity and performance are critical for every TTE upgrade. Each turbocharger undergoes meticulous balancing to ensure ultimate equilibrium:
Component Balancing: Individual parts are balanced at low speeds up to 2,800 RPM in multiple planes.
CHRA Dynamic Balancing: After assembly, the CHRA is dynamically balanced at application-specific speeds up to 250,000 RPM using our in-house VSR machine—well beyond OEM standards.
Documentation: Every turbo is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report for complete verification.
