Advanced Engineering & Component Upgrades

Each pair of TTE1200 VTG turbochargers begins with the original units, comprehensively re-engineered for significantly increased airflow and efficiency. The upgrade process includes:

  • Installation of a substantially larger, high-efficiency billet compressor wheel

  • Precision CNC machining of the compressor cover to achieve optimal clearances matched to the new compressor profile

  • CNC machining of the turbine housing to accommodate a larger, lightweight 9-blade turbine wheel for enhanced exhaust gas flow

The proprietary 9-blade TTE turbine, designed in-house by TheTurboEngineers, offers substantial performance benefits. Increased gas flow reduces back pressure and lowers exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), enabling safer operation at higher boost pressures. Its reduced mass minimizes rotational inertia, delivering rapid spool-up characteristics while maintaining the flow capacity required for high-output applications.

Precision Balancing & Quality Assurance

Turbocharger balance is critical to both performance and longevity. At TTE, achieving superior equilibrium is a core standard.

Each turbocharger undergoes a meticulous multi-stage balancing process:

  1. Individual components are balanced at low speeds (up to 2,800 RPM) across multiple planes using specialized single-part balancing equipment.

  2. Once assembled, the CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly) is dynamically balanced at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM using our in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) machine.

This process ensures a balance standard that exceeds OEM specifications, enhancing durability, reliability, and acoustic refinement. Every turbocharger set is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report for full traceability and quality verification.
