The TTE550 is the first upgrade step for transforming your 2.7TT engine’s performance. Designed to deliver RS4 K04-like response with power approaching RS6 levels, these turbochargers retain the original RS4 turbine housings while supporting output beyond 550+ PS when paired with the correct hardware and calibration.

Engineered & Enhanced Performance

TTE550 turbochargers are developed from genuine RS4 K04 OE units and precision-engineered to provide significantly increased performance with minimal loss of response compared to stock K04 turbos. They are especially popular among drivers seeking a true plug-and-play RS4 upgrade that delivers a broader, more powerful performance range while preserving near-OEM drivability.

Advanced Design & Airflow Efficiency

The compressor covers are CNC-machined in-house to optimized tolerances, allowing fitment of the larger Billet 2280X extended-tip compressor wheel (45.1 mm inducer / 59.4 mm exducer), compared to the stock 2078 wheel (39.9 mm inducer / 51 mm exducer). The inlet port is also CNC-profiled to remove pre-compressor restrictions, ensuring smoother airflow transition and maximizing intake efficiency.

The 2280X wheel’s advanced geometry and low-inertia design increase airflow while maintaining rapid spool characteristics. Extended-tip technology enables faster boost response at lower RPM while sustaining strong top-end power.

Turbine & Durability Upgrades

Turbine housings are CNC-machined to larger specifications and equipped with a TTE 9-blade turbine and shaft assembly, replacing the standard unit. This upgrade improves exhaust flow, reduces back pressure, and lowers exhaust gas temperatures—supporting higher boost levels safely. The reduced blade count also lowers rotational mass, improving inertia and throttle response.

A motorsport-grade 360° journal bearing system is installed for durability under high loads without compromising transient response.

Actuation & Reliability

Each unit is fitted with uprated, spring-reinforced OE actuators secured with strengthened clamps for dependable operation. Actuator specifications can also be customized to suit individual performance requirements.

Precision Balancing & Quality Assurance

Balancing is a critical factor in both longevity and performance. Components are first balanced individually at low speed (up to 2,800 RPM) across multiple planes. After assembly, each CHRA is dynamically balanced at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM using in-house VSR equipment—achieving standards exceeding OEM tolerances. Every turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report.
