The TTE900 Stage 3 Turbocharger Upgrade is engineered specifically for the McLaren M838TE 3.8-liter V8 engine, delivering power potential of up to 900 PS on 102-octane fuel. This package represents the ultimate hybrid turbo solution, combining extreme airflow capability with fast boost response and long-term reliability.
Turbocharger Engineering & Design
To create each pair of TTE900 turbochargers, the original compressor assemblies are removed and replaced with significantly larger, high-efficiency billet compressor wheels. The compressor housings are CNC-machined to precise clearances, optimised to perfectly match the new compressor profiles for maximum efficiency and performance.
On the turbine side, we install the largest possible 9-blade low-mass turbines that can be accommodated within the original turbine housings. This design delivers substantially increased exhaust flow while reducing exhaust gas temperatures at high boost levels, improving both power capability and thermal stability.
An upgraded TTE performance bearing pack is incorporated to ensure durability and reliability under extreme operating conditions. The result is a turbocharger system that delivers exceptional peak power while maintaining sharp throttle response and rapid spool characteristics.
Precision Balancing & Equilibrium
Precision balancing is a critical requirement for all TTE turbocharger upgrades, where performance, durability, and refinement are paramount. Proper balance not only enhances longevity but also improves acoustic behavior and overall operational smoothness.
Each turbocharger undergoes a rigorous, multi-stage balancing process:
Individual components are first balanced in multiple planes at low speeds of up to 2,800 RPM using our dedicated single-component balancing equipment.
Once assembled, the CHRA is dynamically balanced in multiple planes at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM, depending on the application.
Final balancing is performed in-house using our VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig), achieving equilibrium standards significantly exceeding OEM specifications.
Every TTE900 turbocharger set is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test certificate, confirming compliance with our strict quality and performance benchmarks.
