TTE900M+ 5654 BMW S63 UPGRADE TURBOCHARGERS

The TTE900M+ hybrid turbocharger package is engineered as a high-performance upgrade based on the original twin-scroll turbochargers fitted to the twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8 BMW S63 engine. Designed to deliver Stage 3 power levels, the TTE900M+ provides exceptional spool characteristics, sharp throttle response, and substantial performance gains while maintaining reliability and drivability.

Engineered & Enhanced

Each TTE900M+ turbocharger undergoes comprehensive re-engineering to achieve optimal airflow, efficiency, and durability.

On the compressor side, the original unit is upgraded with a significantly larger and more efficient billet compressor wheel featuring extended-tip technology. The compressor cover is precision CNC-machined to achieve optimal clearances, perfectly matched to the new compressor profile. Additionally, CNC billet 76mm intake inlets are installed to maximize airflow capacity and performance potential.

On the turbine side, the original turbines are replaced with larger, lightweight 9-blade TTE turbine wheels. The turbine housing is CNC-machined to accommodate the increased turbine size, significantly improving exhaust gas flow.

To further enhance durability under high-load conditions, the original thrust bearing system is replaced with a TTE upgraded bearing pack, engineered to withstand increased boost pressures and power output.

Advanced 9-Blade Turbine Technology

The proprietary 9-blade turbine, specifically designed by TheTurboEngineers, offers multiple performance advantages:

  • Increased exhaust gas flow capacity

  • Reduced back pressure

  • Lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs)

  • Support for higher, safer boost levels

The lightweight turbine design reduces rotational mass and moment of inertia, enabling rapid spool-up and improved transient response despite the larger overall turbocharger size.

Precision Balancing & Ultimate Equilibrium

Precise balancing is fundamental to every TTE turbocharger, ensuring both maximum performance and long-term reliability. Superior balance not only enhances durability but also improves acoustic refinement.

The balancing process is carried out in multiple stages:

  1. Individual components are initially balanced at low speeds up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes using a dedicated single-part balancing machine.

  2. After assembly, the CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly) undergoes dynamic high-speed balancing using our in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) machine.

  3. Depending on the application, balancing is performed at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes to achieve optimal equilibrium — exceeding OEM standards.

Each TTE900M+ turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test result document, verifying its precision and quality assurance.
