The TTE460 Upgrade Turbocharger is a high-performance Stage upgrade engineered specifically for the BMW N55 engine platform. Developed from the original OEM turbocharger, it is enhanced for increased durability and significantly higher power output while retaining near-stock spool characteristics.

Engineered & Enhanced Performance

At the heart of the TTE460 lies an upgraded, larger TTE high-efficiency compressor wheel, selected for its exceptional flow capability relative to its size. The compressor housing is precision re-profiled and CNC-machined to optimized tolerances, ensuring maximum compressor efficiency and consistent performance.

The original exhaust turbine is retained to preserve fast spool response but is carefully modified to improve exhaust gas flow, striking the ideal balance between responsiveness and power delivery.

Precision Balancing & Equilibrium

Turbocharger balance is a critical factor in both performance and longevity. Every TTE turbocharger undergoes an extensive, multi-stage balancing process that exceeds OEM standards.

• Individual components are pre-balanced at low speeds up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes.

• Once assembled, the CHRA is dynamically balanced using TTE’s in-house VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) at speeds of up to 250,000 RPM, depending on application.

• This meticulous process ensures superior durability, smoother operation, and improved acoustic behavior.

Each TTE460 turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test report, confirming compliance with TTE’s stringent quality standards.
