The TTE555 represents the pinnacle of hybrid performance for the IS38 turbocharger, specifically engineered for the 3rd generation VAG 2.0TSI engines. Delivering Stage 3+ power, rapid spool, and exceptional throttle response, the TTE555 is widely regarded as the most capable hybrid IS38 available today.

Engineered & Optimized for EA888 Gen 3 – IS38

The TTE555 is built from the ground up with precision engineering:

  • The original compressor is replaced with a larger, high-efficiency billet wheel featuring Extended Tip Technology. The compressor cover is CNC-machined to the optimal clearance, perfectly matching the new wheel profile.

  • The stock IS38 turbine is upgraded to a lightweight 9-blade TTE turbine, CNC-machined for improved gas flow and reduced backpressure.

  • The original thrust bearing is replaced with a TTE 360° upgrade bearing, manufactured in-house for enhanced durability under high-performance conditions.

  • The turbo features a TTE CNC billet silencer delete, removing flow restrictions, improving spool and response, and providing a more aggressive exhaust note.

  2. Assembled CHRAs are dynamically balanced in multiple planes, with speeds reaching up to 250,000 RPM on our in-house VSR machine.
